This residential building, located in the city of Karaj, Iran, was designed with an emphasis on daylight, circulation, and a sense of comfort. Situated between two parallel streets, the building features dual facades that open toward the north and south, allowing generous access to natural light throughout the day. The dual-aspect layout not only enhances lighting and ventilation for the units but also provides two distinct entrances that respond to their respective urban conditions

The northern entrance is reserved for pedestrians, offering a more intimate and human-scaled approach to the building. In contrast, the southern entrance is designed for vehicular access, guiding cars directly into the parking area with ease. This separation of flows improves functionality and helps maintain a calmer, more welcoming experience for residents on foot

Arches were employed as a key conceptual element, evoking a sense of familiarity, protection, and home. The curved forms soften the overall geometry of the building and suggest a visual language rooted in traditional Iranian architecture, yet interpreted here through a contemporary lens

The choice of brick as the primary cladding material serves both aesthetic and contextual purposes. Brick brings warmth and timelessness to the façade, while also referencing the local architectural vernacular. Its texture and tone contribute to a human-scale perception and ensure the building integrates gracefully within its surroundings.

Overall, this project aspires to create a harmonious residential environment—one that balances functionality with emotional comfort, urban presence with domestic intimacy
