Noor

Noor

This coastal village in Noor, northern Iran, is composed of 30 villas designed as a harmonious dialogue between land and sea. Each of the four villa types responds to a specific orientation and scale, but all share a common architectural language rooted in simplicity, proportion, and material honesty. The project mediates between the lush green backdrop of the Alborz mountains and the vast openness of the Caspian Sea. Large glazed openings frame these opposing views, while sloped roofs and rhythmic volumes echo the surrounding natural landscape. The combination of brick, concrete, and wood textures grounds the architecture in its local context, offering warmth and permanence against the changing northern climate. The layout of the village emphasizes privacy within community—villas are staggered and positioned to maintain openness, natural ventilation, and unbroken vistas. The overall composition creates a sense of serene retreat, where contemporary living merges seamlessly with the northern Iranian landscape.
